Hull man John Lynes has worked with the Christian Peacemaker Teams in Hebron with the Palestinians for many years, in the face of the brutal Israeli occupation.
The presence of international supporters and observers is vital in reducing the suffering of the Palestinian people and in helping the world to know their plight in more detail. Come and find out more on this 60 years of suffering.
John was born into a Jewish family in the UK in 1928, but has been a Quaker for the past 50 years. He worked mainly as an engineer in lighting research, and also as a university lecturer in architecture. He has volunteered in Israel-Palestine as a Quaker Observer attached to CPT (2002-3) and as an Ecumenical Accompanier (2003). He joined CPT full-time in 2004.
