Israel
and Party Politics,

The 3 major UK parties, LAB, CON,
and Lib Dem, all have Friends of Israel groups. These lobby hard
for policies which will be advantageous to Israel, and are no
doubt busy right now trying to help Israel win the media battle to
keep its message constantly in the news.
The Green Party, the UK's 4th,
does not have a Friends of Israel group. In fact the GP has a very
pro-Palestinian stance and is calling for a boycott, divestment
and sanctions against Israel.
Green members are writing to MEPs
at this time to get the EU-Israel Trade Agreement made much
tougher and to include an end to human rights abuses and to get Israel
following its responsibilities according to international law.
